Hi, I am hoping someone here has a QMX3 and can help. We are in need of a bottom probe tip. I've had one on order since January and the company keeps pushing the back date out. I was first expecting this part in February , but now they are telling me mid April. We finally got to a point with our current probe tip that it's no longer able to detect the lens properly so we are unable to use this edger.
If you have a spare please let me know and I will gladly pay your price and shipping.
Thinking outside the box... Perhaps this part can be recreated via 3D printing. Check with local high schools or community colleges to see if they have a CAD program. They should be able to scan and reproduce. Not sure how to add to the probes original specs since it is worn down.
We actually thought of this yesterday, however we don't have a new one that is not worn down. It would definitely be an easy part to 3D print. Maybe Ill take it over to them and see if they can help come up with a solution.
