    Lens Calculation App

    Hi All

Just found a new app on the Apple App Store that calculates various lens parameters. Lens Thickness, Back Vertex Distance, Minimum Lens Diameter, Induced Prism and RX Transposition. it's easy to use and you can't make typo errors. Could save on a lot of costly staff dispensing errors. Seems a bargain at £0.99 UK its called "Eye Size".

And also on Opticampus, don't miss Darryl's excellent Spectacle Optics desktop application. I use this regularly. http://opticampus.opti.vision/tools/...cle_optics.php

So you're telling me I'm leaning all these dang formulas for my ABO certification for nothing? Just kidding. It's good to understand the general concepts. I'm just very sick of math right now.

Funny you should post this, I just (12 hours ago) released my own app for iOS that does this (heavily inspired by Opticampus), partly as a way of learning all the dang formulas anyway!
So a bit of self-promotion, by the app is free with no ads at all, just search for "Optical Toolkit".
