Generally, blue block lenses often have a noticeable yellow tint and are more effective at filtering out a higher percentage of blue light. Blue filter lenses, like Zeiss Blue Protect, usually have a less noticeable color and are designed for more general use.

As for effectiveness, it really depends on the specific needs of the wearer. If someone is super sensitive to blue light or spends a lot of time in front of screens, a blue block lens might be more beneficial despite the slight tint. On the other hand, for everyday use, many prefer blue filter lenses for their transparency and minimal color distortion.

Or better still for the super sensitive- Change the screens background color!

The devices screen is emitting the equivalent of a minute or two of direct sunlight's blue light exposure.

Were you outside today? And that's based, like the "studies" they are using, on a CRT type monitor.

Flat screens produce much less uv.
