    Zeiss and EyeMed

Anyone heard anything about using Zeiss' recently acquired (2021) Blackmun, NJ lab (US Vision) doing EyeMed (that's a big Essilor to you and me) jobs for Zeiss products (that's product outside of the Essilor empire)?

We are hearing that is do-able, now.

Used to be: EyeMed for essilor labs, only.

As the Eye Med vs. Zeiss divorce was being finalized I remember a VSP ONE associate letting slip over a long delayed order, that the Zeiss lenses needed to be made at a facility just over the border in Mexico.

I think this is routinely happening now for many expensive blanks.

    No???

Don't get me wrong as I understand that we live in a shareholder driven world.

I've been using that lab since late 2023 for all of my Eyemed jobs doing Zeiss lenses. I get all of my Smartlife Individual Series, Zeiss Office Series, and Zeiss Digital SV series lenses from that lab.

I hope that lab has gotten better, because it was NOT good when I was part of USV's retail operations
