Nosepad for plastic frames

Who do you send your plastic frames to when you want to add a nosepad to them? TIA

Just order the parts yourself from McCray Optical and do it yourself. It's not difficult.

I just got these back from them. I like the screw on ones best, very sturdy. Ask for the "screw on APA (adjustable nose pad arms)".

How often are yall having to send plastic frames to have nosepads added to them, instead of just selling them a pair with nosepads from the start or ordering more zyl frames with them added already

I do it quite often. It gives far more choice to patients that need nose pads. It also impresses patients when you show them a sample and they say "Wow I didn't even know that was possible" or " Why don't other places do this?" or "No one has ever told me this was possible before", etc. You get the idea. Things like this can make you customers for life. Because no one else around you will be offering this and the patients that need them have probably never had acetate frames that fit correctly.

I hate plastics with nosepads, I stock as few as possible and usually exchange out ones my reps send me. People who want plastics often don't want pads, and those that need pads often don't find a style they like from the meager selection of pre-made ones. Can't remove the pads, but you can add them, so that's the route I prefer.

I only do a dozen or so a year because it's an extra $80. The expense discourages a few who are only moderately insterested, and they always find something else instead. But those who really need it, and have felt stuck with metal frames, are ecstatic to pay and have the whole selection of plastics available to them.

I've only been sending them out for a year now, I plan on doing a lot more next year because they turn out so well.
