The Area
Our community is nestled among the beautiful pines, azaleas, and dogwoods of East Texas, and it’s a great place to raise a family. It's the largest city in Northeast Texas but has a small-town feel. You will find friendly people, all the amenities you would see in a large metropolitan area, and plenty of things to do around the beauty of the local parks, botanical gardens and arboretums, lakes, zoo, our own State Park, and the world-famous Rose Garden. We have a thriving and diverse economy supported by multiple colleges, hospitals, agribusiness, energy, and technology. If you want to experience a night on the town, theatre, concerts, or professional sporting events, Dallas is only 90 minutes away. The beaches of the Gulf Coast are also within easy reach.
