Hi!
Zenni Optical has added visual search feature to its site. (Navigate to https://www.zennioptical.com/ and press green button at the top.) And even made a PR story of it. https://techcrunch.com/sponsor/zenni...ir-of-glasses/
I am impressed with the quality of the results. It really finds glasses on any picture (either a selfie or a product image) and shows similarly looking glasses (shape and color) at Zennie's killer price (e.g. $12).
I have an offer from a software company to create such service for my site using Google's visual search service. I think some of my customers may play with it, if I send emails to them, and find it engaging and return to me for a purchase.
But the cost of the software is too high for my optical business. The only way to cover the costs would be to resell the service to other opticians. I wonder how many opticians would be interested in having such search on their sites and willing to pay for a service, say $100 a month?
Can you, please, provide a feedback with your thoughts?
