Question What do your offices use to hold stock lenses?

It's currently a nightmare in the lab portion of our office right now. We keep our stock lenses in the pouch provided in drawers that when you pull out scrape against the top of every lens which is making it difficult to store and efficiently find lenses. How do you guys store your lenses? Unfortunately there's no other drawers left that are tall enough to support the height of the lens pouches. Do they make something specifically designed to carry lenses? Any help will be appreciated. Also first post woo

edit: everything we have is made out of cardboard. so cardboard spacers separating the lenses, cardboard rectangles showing you which cylinder the lenses start that fall over. lenses get pushed on top of the row and get disorganized etc

I keep mine in a metal filing cabinet, the drawers are about 1/4" taller than the lens packages. I also separate the rows with cardboard. It's always worked for me.

That's a really good idea! Any specific model name you have I can look at? Thanks!

Mine were purchased used 35 years ago. Brand is Steelcase, I see no other info on it.

You might want to try mechanics tool chests. They will handle large volume and weight. Sources include Snap-on and here we have a company that sells industrial equipment called Uline.

My suggestion is only keep the most popular stock lenses and then order as needed from a good Lab/Manufacture. I know our lab sends out the same business day so this should not slow you down much?
