This private practice is well-established and well-respected in the community it serves. If you're interested in growing with a practice where you'll directly impact business outcomes, we invite you to apply.
Why join us?
Our practice is located in the vibrant Historic East Village in Downtown Des Moines. As a full-service, bilingual, family-owned private practice, patients can expect a total eye care experience. The team of Optometrists provide a variety of services, specializing in diabetic eye care, children's eye exams, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management. The practice also features a modern optical department with an extensive collection of trend-setting frames and designer sunglasses.
What you'll do:
Working part-time, 24 hours per week, you'll provide comprehensive eye care and perform a variety of optometric services for patients of all ages, visual diagnoses, and medical conditions. You'll provide eye exams, recommend vision-enhancing products, and promote proper eye care and good eye health through patient education—on average, 18 patients are cared for daily. You'll have access to advanced technology, including Optomap, OCT, visual field, auto-phoropters, auto-refractors, and fundus photography.
Who we're looking for:
An Optometrist who treats patients with kindness and respect and has the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish will be the right fit for this role. You'll play a critical role in contributing to practice and patient growth, sustaining long-term business performance to support the income of the doctors and staff. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
