Job Description

Cary Family Eye Care (www.CaryFamilyEyeCare.com), established in 2008, desires an optometric technician. We are a local optometrist office that offers a cozy, family environment to spend your workday. Our practice continues to grow year after year, and focuses on customer service and patient care. Our office offers a variety of eye care services including eye examinations, contact lens evaluations, myopia control, medical eye care, and a large optical dispensary.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Initial testing of patient prior to the examination by an optometrist

Taking patient ocular and systemic history and recording in electronic health record
Additional testing as needed including retinal photography and corneal topography
Assisting the doctor as needed in the care of patients
Setting up referrals and sending communication to referring doctors
Cleaning of exam equipment and ensuring exam rooms are ready for patient care each day

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong customer service skills
Enthusiastic, efficient, and resourceful
Excellent communication and people skills
Proficient in the use of computers
Self-motivated, organized and attentive to detail
High school or equivalent (Required)



SALARY:
Based on experience


Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
