    Shamir's FFSV offerings.

    As I can tell:

Auto III SV: the latest and greatest"aspheric/atoric" individualized lens with a wide range of POW variables.

Auto II SV: (the same thing?)

Spectrum SV: a general individualized lens with limited/no POW variables.

So the way I'm playing it is using the Spectrum SV for ophthalmic front frames, and using the Auto III SV for wrap sunglasses.

But is the Auto II SV still out there? It costs significantly less than the III.

Auto 2 SV is still around and I use as my go-to customized SV lens.I cannot fathom how the Auto 3 SV improves upon it.

However, I more often use Spectrum. It is "optimized", meaning power-compensated according to "average" fit values (panto 6, wrap 4, vertex 12? That sound right?) instead of measured values. It's already a huge improvement over traditional SV, those average values are going to be MUCH closer to as worn than the the traditionals' 0, 0, 12, and the difference between Spectrum's average and Auto's as worn is usually only going to be a couple degrees and not worth the extra expense.

For wraps you want to use the Attitude (which still comes in 2 and 3 flavors) for the additional prism wrap compensation, extended base curves, and better decentered designs. 3 has the fashion or sport designs to choose from, 2 has only one design. They also have 15mm or 18 mm fixed corridors which are nice for huge sunglasses that might measure at a 30 seg height.

    Good summary, DanLiv.

I too don't understand the difference in SV between the II and III (PAL...I get the difference.)

Until it disappears, the Attitude II SV seems the best value for wrap sunwear.

If you use Essilor product take a look at Ideal Advanced Wrap polarized. Excellent value for specifically wrap-compensated design. I use it extensively with no issues. However it does not have the range of base curves, or thicker and larger blanks like Attitude so it won't cut out for those big eye size wraps.
