This is a video about a coating that helps when driving at night
Hopefully if you use this coating it will give you better sight
It is made by a company called Quantam but now Laramy-K sells it too
Please do not sell tinted lenses for driving at night, what are you new?
It does have a pink/purple hue that some of your customers might not like
But better night driving is important so you don't run into a turnpike
You should try this coating out for yourself this very day
All you need to do is open an account at Laramy-K

So if I understand this correctly it works similiarly to a blue light AR. It has a glare coating which allows more light to pass through and it has a filter that filters out light at 565-595 wavelengths?

    Nice!
If we ever get to Vision Expo at the same time we could do a poetry slam!

Yes - I think your description is spot-on.

    Thanks,
    John

So notch filters are the latest "bad blue light" fad for lens makers? I'd like to know the reasoning behind notching out light in the 555nm range for geriatrics, with poor contrast sensitivity at night already.

Maybe just tell Grandpa to take a Lyft instead?

If you really want an answer: I'd like to know the reasoning behind notching out light in the 555nm range
    Then
contact the folks at Quantum and ask them!

A quick email to QTMI.net would answer your question.
One of the primary issues with night driving is scattered blue light due to its shorter wavelength. Notching the specific range combats this scattered blue light, which can increase contrast and comfort with night driving. Think LED headlights and it’s wavelengths.

It’s not about Blue light hysteria, and I understand your point about this marketing gimmick. It’s about providing higher clarity/comfort in today’s driving with led headlights.
I bend light. That is what I do.

    Except that 565-595nm ain't blue.
