Does anyone have a recommended mix they'd use to give to their patients to use for cleaning their glasses?
What do the average bottles out there contain?
Thanks folks!

My favorite is Hilco's solution, I buy bottles and also make it from their concentrate for refills. The key benefits of it are alcohol free, and surfactants to help wet super hydro and oleophophic ARs.

This will work on any glass or plastic lens or window. One quart of water add 4 drops of dawn dish detergent. You will need two microfiber cloths use two different color cloths so you don’t mix them up. Dampen one cloth in the solution and clean the lens take the second cloth and wipe dry. You can use the cloth many times provided you keep the same one for cleaning and drying. When you wash microfiber cloths it must be done in cold water as hot water will melt the fibers and make the cloth less functional. If you use this solution on a window use a squeegee after the cleaning cloth. This works very well on car windows and the cost is almost zero. You can spray the solution instead of dampening the cloth but you must still clean and dry with separate cloths.
I second Lensman11, I fill the bottle with warm water and add a squirt of blue dawn.
To reduce germ contamination from one patient to the next, starting in 2020 and to this day, I am using paper towels in the lab to dry them (Gasp, I know) and the world has yet to fall of its axis.(No scratching issues though I still tell patients not to use paper products on their lenses.)
