    Tinting high minus edges

We just received a high minus job from the lab with just plain old poly.

The edges are thick and there's a frosty appearance, which looks fine from the front but a little fugly from the side view.

We're used to satin edge polish being automatically given to us without ordering and with no separate itemizable charge. It's a nice balance between too shiny and too frosty.

Well that seems to have changed. You must order satin edge polish and there will be a charge. (I guess inflation hurts?)

All that to say, we have a frosty edge.

Question: can you dip this in tint and give it a little tone?

Poly doesn’t absorb tint. Only the hard coating does. There are edge pens in various colors that work.
