    Autograph 2 vs. Array 2

Have a patient who has been very happily wearing Auto 2 fixed 13 for quite a while and in Transitions Vantage....tried to order nearly identical pair for her in Transitions Xtractive Polar, but it is not available through VSP. How does Auto 2 - 13 compare to Array 2 - 13, which is available through vsp in transitions xtractive polar? I am thinking it is fairly similar, but really don't have experience with the Array products. Advice much appreciated!

It looks like they offer very similar technologies. Both are backside freeform progressives with fixed corridor profiles. My question to you would be why chose The Array over any other lens in the same class? Why not an IOT house brand fixed 13 PAL? Why not a Zeiss Lite H fixed 14? (if thats in the same category IDK)? Most modern PALs are a lot more similar than you might think. AND your client has much more brain plasticity than you give them credit for.

I had a patient recently who was wearing an array 2 variable and I put her in an Auto 2 variable and she was happy with it. I'm sure you could do the opposite with matching corridor lengths.

Why choose the Array over some other lenses:

    1. The Array might be less expensive
    2. Hoya has some of the most durable AR coatings
