    Help me help a friend.

Hey guys, I need a lens and AR combo that will provide a pink reflection. Her old lenses were Trivex, AR with trans Xtra active and reflected pink. We ordered the exact same things and it now reflects blue/green and she is pitching a fit.
Do you know of any combos of AR that reflect pink?

I told him I had nothing. Do you have anything?

I can't think of anything current from a major AR manufacturer that has a pink reflex color. Zeiss Gold was cool from a few years back. Best bet would be an AR from a private lab that offers different reflex colors. I don't know of any that has a pink one. Good luck.

Although I haven't seen one in years, if memory serves me the old Essilor Reflection Free AR might have had a pink-ish hue (hopefully someone else can confirm). Crappy entry level AR even for 15-20 years ago. I think it is still available but I wouldn't use it.

Never saw any AR that intentionally had a pink reflex. This is probably the result of a missing layer in the stack or the thickness is wrong on one or more layers.

Lastly, I'm sure the picture isn't entirely true to life but I did find this:

DES AR by Opticote (scroll down for image): https://www.opticote.com/?page_id=864

    DES AR info: https://www.opticote.com/?page_id=733

Ignore the above. i have a sample of this in the office and it is definitely not pink (Blue reflex).

Maybe it is not an ar coating but a color vacuum coating. It could be almost any color or intensity.

Check the transmission if it is less than 95% it is a color coat
