    MR Dry on Eyeglasses Prescriptions

    Hi Guys,

I've seen two Eyeglasses Prescriptions now with a MR Dry above the Rx layout. MR Dry is not the name of the Pt. The Pt name is indicated on the Rx. Has anyone seen this? What does it mean?

"Manifest refraction: dry" which is a refraction method (the most common type), which is a pointless thing to indicate as it has no bearing on how you fill the prescription.

It's probably an electronic medical record that is spitting out information that no one wants it to.

Or, the patient is also known as "Mister Dry" due to his odd sense of humor.
