Anybody else have issues with high minus and Zeiss individual?

I seem to consistently have issues where high myopes have problems catching the reading. This is even after doing a near design.

I concur. The only issues stem from improper fit. Same goes for IOT.
I bend light. That is what I do.

normally IÂ’d agree. But IÂ’ve fit these up down left right panto face form everything and itÂ’s still a no go. Specifically with high minus and zeiss indv. Rarely have these issues with other lenses.

to be clear, the 16mm intermediate Individual is one of my faves, but yeah, high minus just doesnÂ’t work. The last one we returned we even selected the 14mm near design and nada. IÂ’m open to suggestions.

No issues with Zeiss Individual as long as you match the design to the Rx, lifestyle, and expectations.

Watch for prescribed over-plussed add powers (almost always from the surgeons).

Recommend 1.60 to tidy up the off-axis viewing somewhat, increasing the the sensation of refinement in general, especially for powers over 6 D.

Throw out an example or two and we'll peel the onion (be generous with the details).

What do you mean by catching the reading? Finding the near zone without too much downgaze?

    Yes, or it's too small.

    alrighty!

so this pt was in physio before. We moved her into Indv balanced lens first, she loved the distance but could not use the reading. We then moved her into a 14 corridor near design (she has computer glasses so not a huge need for intermediate) she still insisted that the reading was too small to use.

    her Rx

    -8.50 +0.75 x053
    -7.75 +0.75 x111

    2.25 add

this is the third or fourth time I've had issues specifically with this lens in high minus as it pertains to reading.

I'm a high minus and the Zeiss Individual II is the best PAL I've ever worn.

I did have this issues with the Individual (2?) and SmartLife Individual with High minus patients. I spoke with the Lab tech in the Ontario lab and we switched those patients into the Zeiss Precision Pure 15 corridor, same frame same measurements and it works for the few patients that complained with the Individual.
