This was taken on the morning of what would have been Mom's 79th birthday. I'm not a religious person at all, but I am intrigued by the concept that when we pass from this life, the atoms, molecules, and energy that was contained within us is (eventually) returned to the universe - freed from this mortal coil as it were. Standing there on this beautiful night, I wondered if perhaps mom was up there somewhere too, dancing amongst the glittering jewels of the summer night sky. The sense of peace was overwhelming. The silence complete. Miss you Mom - every day.
