    Bear stare

Spring in Yellowstone is always a great time to visit the park. This young black bear was not very far, off the opposite side of the road from me (and about 500 of my closest photography friends!) foraging for grass and berries. The stare I got here was intense, but there was plenty of distance between us thankfully. 100 yards is the minimum to approach bears or wolves, and I'm very glad we had it!
