    Idea Dispensary Ideas

    Hello All!
We are going to be moving within the next year and looking for unique, creative, most functional, ideas for our dispensary, workstations, repair area etc. Anyone have ideas? What was the most memorable thing you've seen in an office?

    I like minimizing steps.

How many here are brave enough to adjust frames right in front of a patient?

You’re in Arizona, right? Replace all you chairs with saddles! Talk about memorable!

I can see you in your dispensary now, “Ok Mrs. Smith, your turn, come sit on the big haus!”

(your real name isn’t Haus, is it?”)

Sure, I love seeing their looks of abject terror as I bend their frames in half. I just wish frame warmers weren't so comparatively expensive for being fancy hairdryers so I could get one at my dispensing desk

How about mechanical bulls, while you're at it? That's the best way to test if your glasses are tight enough.

I may not be showing you anything of which you are unaware, but I bought one of these as a backup to my standard Hilco tempmaster and it is incredibly effective. Best for spot heating and fine-tuning adjustments rather than wholesale heating for lens glazing and removal, but absolutely does the job. Cheap, small, makes a cute whining fan noise, perfect for a dispensing table.

Think outside the cookie cutter optical design furnishing houses like Eye Design. .

Completely depends on the look and the feel you want to convey. In many provate dispensaries, you can tell they all ordered from the same boring display company. But spend a bit of time on Google (images mostly) and look up what some of the cooler places have done across the world. Get inspired, and see what fits for both your style and your budget. I think the most appealing designs would be ones I'd like to visit - even if I didn't need to pick up glasses or get an adjustment.

I was all thumbs adjusting at the dispensing table until I adopted this method:
