VITTORIO TABACCHI, PRESIDENT OF SAFILO, NAMED “CAVALIERE DEL LAVORO”
During the Italian Republic Public holiday on June 2nd, the President of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, named 25 new “Cavalieri del Lavoro”, one of whom was the President of Safilo, Vittorio Tabacchi. This high honour is awarded to those entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves in the industry, agriculture, commerce, tourism and services sectors for having “increased the nation’s prosperity with their work”.
