    Wire frames for flat lenses

    Hello,

I am hoping for a recommendation regarding how to identify frames suitable for flat lenses. We would like to provide glasses with some specialty lenses that are Base 0. It seems that this frame style used to be common. I have a pair of old Titmus frames that are a good example of this (photo attached).

Do you know of any manufacturers that still provide wire frames for flat lenses? Do you know if any manufacturers include a specification in their catalogs regarding frame curvature?

    Thank you,
    Michael

Most wire frames will accommodate flat lenses I never heard of any frame specifically made for flat lenses.

Take any metal frame, adjust out the eyewire curvature - there you go. You will probably have to turn in the endpieces for fit, but that's pretty routine too.

You can always change the bevel curve on the edger to match the frame curve.
I bend light. That is what I do.

The Porsche P8695 is pretty flat - not completely flat but pretty dang close. It's a wire sunglass frame.
