thanks for this, but I am referring to the film thickness, not the contact angle.
And when I say the film thickness, I am not referring to the thickness that the chamber says it is applying, I would really like to know how thick the layer is that has been applied during the process.

The hydro is not a layer as compared to the Si02 layer(s). It is a "mist" that does wear off in time. Contact angle is better measurement of the hydro performance. Keep in mind, hydro can be easily reapplied at any time, but the Si02 cannot.

sorry but I did not understand, to really measure the thickness you would have to evaporate a very high thickness (at least 1/4 lambda), if we suppose the refractive index around 1.31 means at least 100 nm. (see 1st graph capture 2, the blue line is the simulation of the CR39 reflection, the green +15 nm / blue + 30nm / red +100 nm)
No AR pad gives you a lot of material and in any case the reading errors are very heavy.
the best solution is to evaporate on a ZrO2 or TiO2 test lens, measure the curve and then evaporate your superhydrophobic. Then compare everything with a Th simulator and get an estimate of the truly evaporated thickness (see capture 3 blue Cr39 +180 nm ZrO2, blue +15 nm TC, green +30 nm) The curves move a lot and therefore your measurement with spectrophotometer is more accurate.
in this simulation I assumed an index of 1.31 for superhydrophobic CT but some believe it is more correct to use 1.36.

sorry but I got confused, capture 2 is with the ZrO2 and capture 3 is just Cr39 + top coat
