Just been looking at the satisloh Toroflex cyl machines. They use soft laps. Are they quicker at polishing than traditional hard laps? Do they use a fining cycle on the same machine, or do they go straight to polishing from the generator?

Straight to polish. Cycle times will depend on the macros and curves, but generally quicker than a toric polisher. You will need a free form generator, even if it is a standard toric surface.Originally Posted by hexicola89

No. The lenses need to be generated on the Orbit or similar free form generator.
