    Prison frames

Does anyone know of a good frame that can be used for Youth offenders incarcerated that does not contain metal core in the temple?
they have a tendency to re-purpose them into weapons.

When I worked for the prison system it could only be BC glasses, big bulky black, so we could see any alterations done to them. Trust me when I say, metal or not, they can re-purpose anything, even all plastic toothbrushes! Plastic bottles, oh the stories I have!

    Limited collections obviously.

I'd send them to this site and capture the family with your honesty in helping them through difficult times.

Can you get tomato glasses in the USA? Made for babies and special needs kids, little to no metal in them. https://www.tomatoglassesuk.com/

Yes, now that I think about it, what about TR90 frames? Do they have wire cores?

I think New York Eye has some. They call them "Correctional Eyewear." https://newyorkeye.net/correctional-eyewear/

There isn't much of a range of styles and I don't know if the requirements for what is acceptable vary per facility.

Modern optical has 2 styles, labeled NTC-1 and NTC-2 which means unimaginatively No Temple Core. both come in several sizes.
