    You read my mind, UF. Acetate is just sourced from cellulose, no? Cellulose is probably one of the most renewable sources of anything on the planet. Maybe there is some stupid way to make acetate that doesn't involve cellulose as a starting point? Or they are making acetate out of rainforest trees or something dumb like that?

    I think a significant part of it is how much water is used
