I have this RB 2132-L with USA Flag. Does anyone know the history of this model? Was it a limited edition run for some event?

I've probably seen all the RB 2132 variations that exist but never saw this one before. There is an indentation the temple arm where the flag is located, so its not just a sticker on surface. It was actually manufactured this way to have the flag on it.

I have never seen any other RB 2132 with any kinds of flags. Searched this model online and only found that someone on Poshmark sold this frame a while ago. I suspect this model is from around 2010-2014 period so probably not much info on it out there.

Doesnt really say anything interesting about it on the product page. Maybe its not special after all.

Ray-Ban has various limited edition collections like Wayfarer "Prints", Wayfarer "Ice Pop", Wayfarer "Cosmic" etc. I was thinking this was some rare Flags collection model or something like that.

I’ve gotten info from B&L archives about vintage frames :)

    Interesting.

I had a patient bring in a vintage Rayban sunglass frame that was a zyl aviator style in white, yellow, and blue(?). I had never seen one like it before. He told me it was released for the Olympics back in the 70s or 80s. I wish I had written down the frame name so I could research how to get myself a pair. I love vintage eyewear. I was very nervous to heat them up and adjust them, though, due to being 30 - 40 years old.
