Base curve chart

Does anybody have a handy dandy base curve chart link, or pic? We've had a pt come in a +5.00 in a 5b, and I gotta make sure thats right.

PT is single vision, and is in hi index 1.74. The only chart I have in the office is a single vision c-39, which according to the chart, should put it in 7b, only thing is, I'm almost certain that the material will make a significant difference.

Larger labs utilize proprietary software that will optimize bevel placement and profile to insure proper fit in the frame with a highly accurate first time cut rate. In order to achieve this, base curve of the lens must closely match the frames wrap profile which in most cases is between 4 and 5 base. Having worked for a "large lab", powers such as the one you mention where indeed processed on a 5 base. BTC curves would consistently range in the flatter range lower than the customary -3.00 and above.

When I questioned this new practice I was advised by a "lens engineer" that research didn't show any notable decrease in patient comfort from wearing flatter lenses. After a period of time I was convinced that this new practice might be ok since some of the Rx's I thought might be rejected never where sent back.
