distance PD for near glass ?

A friend of mine tell me that in an old zeiss lens book has read that.

He tell me that if you do not use an "office" lens the best compromise is use for every patient Distance Pd if the patient have no particularry problem.

That's make me sense! But I do not know for hyp. patients...

Also I wonder how take the "best" fitting high on reading glasses.

Makes sense for minus, but not for plus.

It depends on the lens design. Check with the manufacturer. Essilor's Computer Lens, for example, is specifically designed to use the distance PD.
