ID Lifestyle 3 - urban, indoor, outdoor

So Hoya has these lifestyle3 lenses in URBAN, INDOOR, and OUTDOOR flavors. I'm assuming the outdoor has pretty nice distance peripheral with a T-shaped corridor and the indoor is the Hoya plus-shaped corridor (wide in the intermediate and not as much in distance and near). Perhaps the urban is a V-shaped corridor? Can anyone give more insight on these flavors?

You got it! I think there's a bit more to it, though. The indoor version pushes the intermediate zone higher up, whilst the outdoor lowers it. The indoor Lifestyle 3 (they dropped the ID moniker by the way, although it still uses dual surfacing technology) is great for heavy desktop users who refuse a dedicated computer pair (although obviously not ideal).

I concur with this assessment. I've had an easy time dispensing the LifeStyle Indoors flavor to patients that expressed greater need for intermediate/near work. I did have one patient that complained about reduced edge clarity in the distance (I re-made her lenses to the Array 2 after she said she's not doing as much computer work as she thought and she was much happier with the results there), but overall patients seem to have a positive experience with it.

Robert nailed it. We've yet to have a patient have a difficult time with either of the three. We don't fit the Outdoor a lot, mostly because we're in a heavy medical/technology area. But everyone has loved the Lifestyle 3. They also work great for multiple pairs. Indoor for office, Outdoor for activities and Urban for everyday.

    That's very true.

Very good quality lenses overall, with probably the best coating you can buy. We mainly do Zeiss but I do highly rate the Lifestyle 3.
