General questions about frame price levels.

I do business with Luxottica. There, I said it.

Having said that, it seems to me that they're pretty replete with "mid-level" pricing frames (those that retail $150-200)(Vogue, AX, Arnette, etc.). I know they have higher-level offerings too (Tiffany, Tory Burch, etc.).

My supposition is that mid-level pricing is popular with them because it's what they see in their retail world.

    Do you see that?

I'm not sure if I'm seeing it or not. They do sell.

I think you'll see that with just about every frame company that sells 15+ lines: most are mid-grade, with a handful of higher-end brands and a few lower-cost options. Safilo, Marchon, Kenmark, DeRigo REM, Clearvision, etc. They're all about the same.
I'm Andrew Hamm and I approve this message.

In my experience, the buying curve is bimodal. People seem to want either the cheapest frame they can get that isn't awful (and for the insurance people, not a dollar more than their coverage), or they are just willing to spend, and I quote, "whatever", to look the absolute best they can with the latest trendy designs.

Yup mostly mid range stuff and mostly 50 and 52 eye for the women and 52 and 54 for the men. Have a petite or big head? Sorry not for you.

I find that mid range is our least popular price point.
