Lenses/Colors That Block Green Laser Light

Good morning folks! Have a patient who is looking for prescription and non prescription lenses/glasses that are able to block green (and looking for one that blocks both green and red) laser light. So far the only thing I've found is more amber/orange lenses seem to be the suggested go to. Anyone have any experience or ideas on this subject? Thanks!

I think there are laser protective goggles but not in a Rx dress pair.

Yeah, I've seen the goggles, but haven't found anything RX wise. Everything looks to be Amber

If I'm not mistaken, the ability to block laser light is an ANSI/ISO certification. As such, unless you are certifying to that standard, you can't ever make a lens that you could say block any kind of laser light and not leave yourself open to legal consequences.

Only approved protection is a goggle over the glasses. Check with manufacturer of the laser for recommended/approved protective lenses. If the PPE is used at work, the employer may have specific requirements.

Good point, about it needing to be googles. Since laser light can be refracted, etc... one would need protection from above, below, the side, from behind, etc... and only a google can provide that.
