Hi all,
I have encountered a design problem in my that I would like to consult about the optimal way approach and solve it:
Design an achromatic lens with the following properties (show solution steps):
Effective focal Length – 10mm
Number of lens elements – 2 (4 spherical surfaces)
F-number – 5.0
Wavelengths – 450nm and 630nm
Field of view – 00 (only consider the on-axis field)
Supplied glasses:
Glass Name Index of Refraction (nd) Abbe Number (vd) CaF2 1.434 95.1 S-FSL5 1.487 70.2 N-BK7 1.517 64.2 N-SSK8 1.618 49.8 N-F2 1.62 36.4 N-LAK22 1.651 55.89 N-BAF10 1.67 47.2 N-SF18 1.722 29.3 N-LASF44 1.803 46.4 N-SF6 1.805 25.39 N-LASF9 1.85 32.2 N-SF66 1.923 20.88
What should I take into account, the steps the need to be done, and what do you think should be the intuition regarding dispersion and optical power?
Thanks!
