    Socially-Responsible or Eco-Friendly Companies

Calling all you optical geniuses!!! I’m doing a project for school wherein I’m researching socially responsible or eco-friendly eyeglass distributors. Are any of you working with these companies? Could I pick your brain? So many of the ‘green’ options I’m finding are for online ordering but what I actually need is to know distributors who sell to dispensaries and not places online where I can refer people to! Please help!

But the big numbers from toxic waste and plastics come from the blank manufacturing (China/Indonesia?) and subsequent processing, where the USA alone produces more than a million pounds of non-recyclable swarf (wastage) every year.
