    Drill Seal Replacement?

Has anyone found a good replacement for drill seal? Our stock is finally running out and I need to come up with something for our poly lenses.

+1 on this for wanting a good replacement for Drill Seal without the words Trivex or Trilogy being mentioned. The stuff is fantastic.

Not really for the same purpose but maybe this works?

It should be a lot less expensive at least on a per ounce basis.

I spoke to Chris Ryser (RIP) of Optochemicals at length a few times on the phone. During one call he told me the poly edge polish is exactly the same as Drill Seal.

I believe it's the same stuff from Optochemicals.

If you want to check into it, Albert from McCray Optical in Toronto, Ontario bought all of the formulas from Chris Ryser.

BTW, I rarely ever use poly for rimless mounts except for demo lenses. When I read the postings in the thread "Poly for the win", I thought it was an alternate universe in which poly is great.

    Thanks for the help.

I know everyone here hates polycarbonate for drill mounts but we treat every hole and very rarely have stress crack issues. I would know since I’m the one that has to tear the Silhouette frames apart and put them back together again for any reason.
