    Tinting digital surfaced poly lenses

Having a terrible experience with tinting poly lenses. They coating either bubbles up or there are little black dots. Most jobs we use pre-tinted lenses but when the customer is asking for a Grey #1 then we really don't have a choice. Can anyone tell me what temp the tint should be for poly?

The problem is with your back side coating. The front has a non tintable coating and poly does not absorb dye. You should be checking the output of your uv light in the coating machine as well as the amount of time your lens is under light. Check with the vendor of the coating machine for the specs for the particular unit. You should do an adhesion test on the coating daily as well as a haze test to check the hardness of the coating.

Check the temperature of your tint bath with a quality laboratory thermometer to ensure that the operating temperature of the tints is between 205°F and 210°F. Polycarbonate will not tint properly at even slightly cooler temperatures.
    Thank You!

And make sure the back side coating is tintable!

Better if you purchase tinted lenses directly from store or online. Go to registered eyeglass store in your city or town and ask for original tinted poly glasses. Or you can buy online from authoritative optical websites such as Framesbuy, Lenskart, etc. These are genuine website that have high brand value in market.
    Thank You!

Agree about hard coat but also there can be static effects on tint as well. Cleaning with water and a couple of drops of dawn dish soap can help as well.
