    Verifying pd's on a FT

What is the easiest way to determine if mounted lenses have the correct distance pd that you ordered for a FT? I was taught by a previous optician to line up your center spherical and cylindrical lines in the lensometer and where ever they intersect is where you would ink them with the lensometer. The center dot of that marking should fall in the center of patient's pupil.

    TIA

I agree with that assessment. You can also take your PD stick, measure the total distance from dot to dot and compare that to the PD you ordered.
