How to Test AR Coatings (Laramy K Video)

Hello,

I have watched the Laramy K optical video on how to test AR coatings and have a few questions in regards to the methods used, below is the link to the video:

Questions:

1) The salt water boiling test, can the water be boiled on a regular gas range stove or does it have to be boiled on a Bunsen burner?

2) Does the material of the vessel that boils the lenses matter (does it have to be glass)

3) The lift test to test if the AR will strip does it have to be a special tape or regular tape, if special tape where can it be purchased?


If the experts can chime in that would be very helpful!
