Making your own foam lap tool material.

I am wondering what kind of foam they use to make the lap tools. Does anyone know where I can just buy the material?
Foam lap block just has a few holes on the bottom, if I can figure out what material is used, I can just cut the squares out myself and drill the holes...
    anyone?

    Thanks,

If anyone is interested I figured it out. Its rigid insulation foam. The best one to use is foamular 1000 R7.5 1 1/2 inch. You can cut your own squares out and drill your own holes for cheap.
