    Question about a prescription

I cannot quite make out what the prescription says.
Can you help me figure out what this prescription means?

*I can't tell if the patient has astigmatism or not, because I cannot read what it says.
But since they do have a number for the axis, I'm assuming he does have astigmatism.

    Thank you.

It says that it is -.25 diopter cyl @50 and -.25 diopter cyl @180, with no sphere power

Thank you! Now that I look at it after you tell me, I can see what it says in the prescription.

Yes, but to be more precise, the sphere power here is exactly 0.00D or plano.
Also, always place a 0 in front of a decimal... -.25 becomes -0.25 and @ is not the same as X for axis location. Finally always write the axis to 3 numbers... axis 50 become 050 , or axis 6 become 006 ,or axis 155 stays 155.

    Much more professional.

This OD or OMD needs some rudimentary training in writing a proper Rx since almost nobody writes Dcyl anymore.

Your Rx should have been written as...
    OD: pl -0.25 x 050
    OS: pl -0.25 x 180
