    Question Is it possible to calculate analytically the local HOA of an outgoing wavefront...

    Is it now possible to calculate analytically the local HOA of an outgoing wavefront directly from the aberrations of the incoming wavefront and the refractive surface?

    If so...

    Is it now possible to produce an end product meaningfully incorporating these corrections?

    If so...

    Is it now possible to achieve 20/15 to 20/10 vision via spectacles?

    Most Optiboarder's dismissed the benefit of eye glass lenses needing High Order Aberration correction a long time ago when Essilor pushed W.A.V.E. technology on the industry.

    Lasik? Yes.

    Eyeglasses = overkill.

    There are other threads but this is one from a quick search:

    This is so timely, I just grilled the Essilor rep yesterday about this and she couldn't phone her tech guy fast enough. They are starting the push now in our area(western Canada).
    We have been comp'd some free lenses to try....

    When your eyeglasses move a tiny fraction of a millimeter any HOA corrected benefit is lost.

    I think a lens with hoa correction and 1/100th Diopter resolution do not make great difference for most the patients..even high minus
