    So... basically they are creating iaterogenic aphakia? Given that most developing countries are in more intense solar bands, the long term consequences of inducing aphakia in this group could be quite severe. Not to mention the obvious induction of hyperopia, and loss of accommodation. This just seems like an awful idea, wholesale.

    This idea has come and gone many times since the 80's. What about refraction? Where is this broken up calcium going to go? Hype. That is all it is.
