does anyone have a pupilometer for sale?

I've got a very old Essilor one (before they started making them in China) that I just dropped. I can't sent it to Essilor for recalibration because last time they refused to service it and then sold me a defective Chinese one which I returned. I'd love to have another one. Is anyone retiring and planning to sell equipment?

Also, is there any objective way to verify whether mine is out of kilter?

    Thank you!

There are a bunch of different ones on amazon in the ~$100 range that look exactly like the ones all the supply stores sell for $400+

Seems like it would be easy to check against a manual measurement, assuming you are decent at manual measurements.

Yeah, Harry Chilling pointed out that I can just set it for 30/30 and then measure the space between the crosshairs with a ruler. Over four decades in the optical biz and it never occurred to me!

I've got another pd scope question, but I'll put it on another thread.

Thank you for sharing this! I've been doing this 25 years and never thought of that too. Good to know!
