Full-scope Optometry practice near Everett needs full-time Optometrist. No weekends!
A well-established, full-scope practice near Everett, WA has a retiring doctor that will need to be replaced. The new optometrist will join a great staff supporting the doctor’s patient care. The practice has medical equipment to support co-managing of medical diseases and various types of medical conditions. Partial list of medical equipment is listed below.
This particular suburb of Seattle offers residents a suburban feel and most residents own their homes. It is a vibrant, growing community nestled on the banks of the Snohomish River. This suburb offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities, diverse shopping options - including historic downtown shops, and a spring and summer full of fairs and festivals with local flavor.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist (OD):

  • Medical optometry performed
  • OCT, Optomap, Visual Field, etc.
  • Diagnose ocular disease and vision disorders
  • Contact Lens & Specialty Lens fittings (Doctor willing to train)
  • Perform comprehensive eye health and vision examinations
  • See 16-24 patients a day
  • Full age range of patients
  • Infant See Program
  • Tech will do pre-testing
  • EHR - Crystal
  • Counsel patients regarding their vision needs

Benefits for the Optometrist (OD) position:

  • Work hours: Mon & Wed 8am-5pm, Tues & Thurs 8am-6pm, Fri 7am-1pm
  • Office closed Saturday & Sunday
  • Off Saturday, Sunday and Monday starting out
  • Health, Malpractice and CE stipend, Simple IRA 3% match, AOA & WA Optometric Association dues paid, DEA and WA license paid, 2-weeks’ vacation PLUS Additional paid week off between Dec. 25 and Jan 1
  • Compensation based on production + eyewear sales – Start out working Three (3) days until credentialed w/insurances. Full time of Four (4) days once credentialed (usually takes 2-3 months)
  • Per Diem pay to start. Option to convert to Production based compensation after 4 months
  • W-2 Employee

Requirements of the Optometrist (OD):

  • Doctorate of Optometry degree (OD)
  • Prefer license to practice in the state of WA
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
