Rodenstock Multigressive Myview and Impression reviews?Since they're sold in Canada and not the US, I don't have any experience with the Rodenstock line of lenses. I'm curious as to how they're regarded compared to other lenses which are available?

I guess nobody is using Rodenstock.
If I'm remembering correctly Rodenstock had a falling out with their Florida based distributor many years ago now and can be ordered only by going through a lab that will special order them from Germany.
When I did deal with them they were the absolute best- bar none.
When I could no longer get them I frequently took grief from whatever lens I switched a wearer too. Nothing compared to them it seemed but like I said this was over 10 years ago.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back to them for my most discriminating (wealthy) patients at $1,000+ a pair (seriously), being careful to manage expectations that changing in the future may be problematic.
Back in the early 2000's there was a cast mid-index(?) lens that I think Rodenstock developed that was superseded by digitally compensated lenses. Anyone remember its name? (My dotage looms ever larger on the horizon!)
Maybe the "2C optics" lens? I don't know anything about it, but looks like it was a cast "freeform" lens? There is some talk about it in this thread. There is also an Eyecare Business News article from June, 2002. The preview says "Rodenstock/2C lenses are cast-to-prescription, using a special 1.56 liquid monomer to create lenses for each patient's precise requirements." But I can't get the actual webpage to open.
Rodenstock 'Life C'.
More here.
