I live in a world of stupid

    Ok, let's think about this.

Essilor touts their digitally-surfaced PALs that are accurate to 0.01 D.

The most accurately I can refract is to 0.12 D.

EyeMed will not allow data entry in any increments smaller than 0.25 D.

I still assume that Essilor is not stupid, having followed them for some 50+++++++++ years

They might just be working at some system that lets you refract at 0.0.1,.................. and then have the last laugh !

Sounds like opportunity to me doc... " I'm sorry Mr. Smith, but I can't use your insurance to fill your new Rx. They do not allow the accuracy I prescribe by."

Then all the people who refer to .12D as "twelfth" will also refer to .01D as "tenth."

I'm sorry, but the "I live in a world of stupid" was enough for me. Just had a couple of crazies here and that was a nice laugh for me. It is a world of stupid.

To quote Chuckles the clown: "A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants."

It is up to us, an individuals, whether manufacturers, wholesalers or retailers. to learn the song, learn the dance and provide our own seltzer bottle.

Dispense long enough and you will have patients who will swear this is true.

They tend to be the ones who know when the bay leaf wasn't added when making the soup stock.
