Figure 8 top eyewire dimensions / colors

I'm trying to supply my bench with the best variety of semi-rimless cords, standard round as well as figure-8. Seems like the colors are all the rage and I'm not finding the standard clear on either Hilco or Optisource's sites. What are the best diameters to carry of round and also of figure-8? ..and if I'm stuck with a color for any of them, which color(s) to pick? TIA!

They make fig. 8 liners in colors?

We use Hilco 072 & 073 fig 8 but I've only used the clear ones. I think they have colored strings as well but I use 30lb spooled fish line as my go to nylon cord. Hilco has a flat liner as well and while I have it I can't remember it fitting anything.

Marchon and Charmant liners need to be ordered from them as they do not fit with the above in my experience. They're interchangeable.

fwiw- If the liner doesn't fit with a couple of tries give up or go crazy frustrated!!!

FYI. Save money and dye your own. Easy peasy. Nylon sucks up tint.

I've never seen colored figure 8 liner. There are multiple clear figure 8 liner and t liner, separate or in kits, from Hilco. Just do a search for "liner" in the search bar on the top of their website. When you say "rounds" do you mean the bottom cords? Just get some 20-30 lb monofilament from the sporting goods store. You can get 250 yards of it for like $10. I think I use 25 lb for almost everything. Like lensman said if you need a color just cut some off and drop it in the dye pot.

I used up the half spool I inherited when I started here 33 years ago and ran out of it recently. I bought the new spool thinking I'll never be buying another again.
