In reviewing my current offices patient history of eyeglass orders, I have noticed a few alarming issues, regarding recorded pupil distances.

1) Different pd's on every order
2) Different pd's depending on which tech helped the patient
3) Different pd's from the same tech the patient wishes to work for year after year

Any ideas, short of me having to validate each and every patient PD for 50+ patients per day?

........................it would be interesting to let us know how you measure the PD in your office, to get different results with the same patients.

If a Pupillometer is used the correct way, you are supposed to get a perfect PD anytime you use it.

Maybe you have to coach your techs.
