    Hoya and Zeiss

Hi guys, currently have a customer with some clip on optical lens equipped with 1.74 Zeiss lens, he currently needs new ones. I just want to know if anyone here has experienced any issues using 1.74 Hoya lens for replacements and having the clip on sunglasses not fit?

    Thanks in advance.

This doesn't make sense, what do you mean? I can't understand your question, but why would brand of lenses matter for sizing issues?

The clip-on has Rx lenses in it? They have Rx glasses with a sun clip? What brand of clip-on? What brand of frame? What is the Rx? Why does 1.74 matter? etc etc.

My guess is it's a high myope Rx and concerned about the clip-on prongs not attaching properly due to the lens edge thickness. The higher the index the better, but the brand is pointless.

from my understanding it may means, if the lens is too thick there problem to attach the clip-on. perhaps an adjustment on CEF (cut, edge and fit) may able to help in fitting the clip on better.
another option, if the consumer having such a high prescription, you may consider to use a fitover instead of using the clip on.
    Yeap
